1. Our commitment to accuracy
We aim to publish accurate and useful information. However, technology news can involve fast-changing releases, complex technical details, evolving security advisories, and information that later changes. Mistakes can occur, and we take credible reports of errors seriously.
2. What should be reported?
Please contact us if you identify a factual error, misleading technical explanation, incorrect attribution, broken source reference, outdated material that materially affects a conclusion, or a potentially misleading image caption.
Opinions, differences in interpretation, and preferences about editorial emphasis are not necessarily factual errors, but readers may still share feedback for consideration.
3. How to request a correction
Use our contact page and select “Correction request” if that option is available. Include:
- The article URL and, if possible, its headline.
- The specific statement or section that appears incorrect.
- A concise explanation of the issue.
- A reliable source supporting the proposed correction, where available.
Please avoid sending unnecessary personal information. A request does not guarantee that a change will be made, but it helps us investigate the concern.
4. How we assess reports
We may compare the claim with original documentation, source material, official announcements, research publications, or other reliable evidence. For technical topics, we may need to review software versions, reproduction steps, configuration details, or the date on which a statement was accurate.
We may ask for clarification if the report lacks enough information. We do not promise a fixed response time, but we aim to prioritize issues that could materially mislead readers or affect safety.
5. Corrections and updates
When we confirm a material factual error, we aim to correct the affected content. Where appropriate, we may add a correction note describing what changed. Minor spelling or formatting fixes may not require a separate note if they do not change the meaning.
Updates made because software, prices, product features, or circumstances have changed may be identified as updates rather than corrections. We aim not to silently change material facts in ways that could confuse readers.
6. AI-assisted content
Some content may be created with AI assistance. AI-generated statements, summaries, citations, and technical examples can be incorrect. We consider credible reports about those errors under the same accuracy principles used for other content.
7. Retractions and substantial changes
If a central claim cannot be supported or an article is found to be materially unreliable, we may substantially revise, withdraw, or add a prominent notice to it, depending on the circumstances. We aim to explain significant decisions when doing so would help readers understand the change.
8. Contact
Send correction requests through our contact page. Please identify the article and provide evidence so that we can assess the report efficiently.
